Atmos and DBX Flying Suit Technology

Atmos and DBX suits use a premium CORDURA® material, a windproof, highly durable material. Used in sports which demand ultimate performance such as motorbiking CORDURA ® is perfect for open cockpit microlights at altitudes of up to 10000 feet. Many high altitude paraglider pilots and other leisure aviation pilots also find these top of the range suits to be ideal.

Combined with ThinsulateTM technology, manufactured in the USA by 3M, Atmos and DBX technologied suits offer excellent heat retention properties due to its innovative microfibre construction.

With microfibers ten times smaller than that of regular synthetic insulation fibres, ThinsulateTM Insulation packs more fibres into the same space allowing more efficiency at trapping the air, keeping you warmer. Not only that, it is more breathable and moisture resistant.

DBX 2 and 4 layer Flying Suit

This garment is designed for use in spring/summer/autumn/winter weather! Typically, this suit is perfect for use in open cockpit microlights at altitudes of up to 5000 feet (2 layer) and 10000 feet (4 layer). Many paraglider pilots and other leisure aviation pilots also find the DBX suit to be ideal.

Atmosphere (Atmos) 5 layer Flying Suit

This 5 layer flying suit garment is the Worlds FIRST and ONLY 5 LAYER flying suit. It is manufactured with 260gsm of insulation as follows:

• The outer CORDURA ® fabric which is windproof and has a great tough feel for durability.
• The inner middle layer is 80gsm THINSULATE TM made by 3M. The unique microfibres of ThinsulateTM Insulation are about ten times smaller than the fibres of most other synthetic insulations, which means they’re much more efficient at trapping air, and more effective at keeping you warm. It also means more fibres can be packed into the same space, where they can reflect back more of the body’s radiant heat without being bulky.
• The middle layer is 100gsm POLYFILL QUILTING. This is a superior insulating material which is designed to retain body heat as much as possible.
• The outer middle layer is a further layer of 80gsm THINSULATE TM made by 3M.
• The suit lining is black BOSKY, this is a new material in our suit range which is dyed using only azo free materials in the production process and has improved wear properties.

Summer 2 layer Flying Suit

This garment is designed for use in fair weather. Typically, this suit is perfect for use in open cockpit microlights (or paragliding) during the Summer, at altitudes of up to 3000 feet. Many glider pilots and other leisure aviation pilots also find this medium weight suit to be ideal. It has the following two layers:

• The outer fabric is called TASLON ® which is windproof and has a great soft feel for comfort. It is very durable and is coated in PU (polyurethane) to resist water.
• The suit lining is a breathable material called polyester TRICOT ® which is designed for effective moisture management. Only dyes which are azo free are used in the production process.

Winter 4 layer Flying Suit

This garment is designed for use in cold weather. Typically, this suit is perfect for use in open cockpit microlights at altitudes of up to 10000 feet. Many high altitude paraglider pilots and other leisure aviation pilots also find this top of the range suit to be ideal. It has the following four layers:

• The outer fabric is called TASLON ® which is windproof and has a great soft feel for comfort. It is very durable and is coated in PU (polyurethane) to resist water.
